COLOR Salon by Michael Boychuck
www.michaelboychuck.com
70 Las Vegas Blvd.
Ceasar's Palace
702.731.7791
Glitzy, glamorous, celebrity-riddled Sin City salon, whose clientele down the years has included Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Michael is a supreme colorist, as well as an excellent stylist, and his repertoire is fast-expanding. Of his various salon and spa experiences, this one at Caesar's Palace is the dedicated color salon, and it's so gloriously lavish, you just won't want to leave. It's wall-to-wall whiteness and silver and chandeliers and orchids. The interior design has obviously cost a small fortune (it's by style legend, Faye Resnick), but it's all deliberate, as the silver-gray-white color scheme means the colorists can focus on the client's own skin and hair tones without distraction. The salon is the blank canvas, and you are the work of art. There's even a DJ spinning some tunes to get you in the party mood.

Dollheads

3363 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
702.431.4315
This salon specializes in blowouts and extensions, so you'll find no cuts or colors here. It's perfect if you have a sexy Vegas night out planned, and you need somewhere to just zap the magic into your hair while you wait. The space is gorgeous, with very complimentary lighting, sexy white seating, and a make-up island in the middle of the salon so you can get your face done, too. It's a one-stop shop for the ultimate makeover, and is very reasonably priced. You'll have to book early, as there are only 12 seats and it's very popular. The location, at the Planet Hollywood resort in Miracle Mile Mall, is also a great reason to get yourself here.

Cristophe Salon
www.mgmgrand.com
3799 South Las Vegas Blvd.
MGM
702.891.3339
This is one of Vegas's newest salons, and one of the most luxurious. If you know anything about the genius that is Cristophe, you'll know that he's a celebrity favorite in LA, and his salon empire is expanding all the time. This one is located inside the MGM Grand, and it's 100% Las Vegas from the moment you walk in. Chrome and glass chandeliers, super comfy sofas, marble table tops and just that feeling of absolute decadence. Cristophe and the team really know how to make you feel special, so it's worth splashing out here on the experienced stylists, or even Cristophe himself. You can get anything from a cut and color, to blowouts, up-dos, extensions and treatments. They even do special sexy packages for bachelorette parties, that include a limo and champagne. It's not cheap, but you'll walk out of here feeling like a million dollars.

Wynn Salon
www.wynnlasvegas.com
3131 South Las Vegas Blvd.
Wynn
702.770.3900
Steve Wynn is Mr Las Vegas, so you can expect the full Vegas experience when you visit his salons at the Wynn and Encore resorts. The salons are some of the most spacious I've seen, so you feel like you have your own private space. The decor is very modern, but romantic, with plenty of wood and whiteness, plus flowers everywhere. It feels a little Japanese, Oriental, and very meditative, so it's no surprise to see that as well as cuts and colors, Wynn Salons also do intensive Shu Uemera hair treatments and massages. Whether you want a posh cut to set you up for your time on the town, or a relaxing pampering, they do everything here, and it's all very high end. It's worth mentioning their nail services, too, which are some of the most comprehensive in Vegas. No-one does nails like they do at Wynn.

iBlowDry

This spacious salon is sassy and fun, and does blowout from as little as $35. It's run by a close-knit bunch of guys and girls who listen to exactly what you want, and blow to order! They have signature blowouts, like the soft-curl Dandelion, or the sexy Fox-Tail-Lily, and curls are a specialty. If you're looking for an updo, the Forget-Me-Not is one of the most requested styles in the city, and will turn any head of hair into that of a Greek goddess. You can also get hair extensions, cuts, colors and treatments, as well as luxury pampering treatments to include the blowout, a pedicure, manicure and full makeover. They do make you feel very special here, and the modern, vibrant salon, with mirrors everywhere, tons of natural light, and very comfortable chairs, adds to the freshness.

Violet Hour Hair Nails & Beauty
www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com
3708 South Las Vegas Blvd.
Cosmopolitan
702.698.7000
This salon, inside the 5-star Cosmopolitan Hotel resort, is effortlessly chic and stylish, with huge, purple waiting chairs, a muted grey and pale blue color scheme, and lots of chrome and glass. It feels efficient, without being clinical, and the chandeliers are a lovely touch, which give the salon a kind of modern French feel. The stylists are all very personable, and completely obsessed with hair. They sit and listen to you, and are happy to make suggestions if you're not entirely sure what you're after. Women's cuts are around $115, which sounds a lot, but you get the full service here, including some heavenly conditioning and massage, and some great tunes in the background. They also do a full manicure service, plus make-up, so you can prepare for your whole night out. Their blowouts are known to last all night, too, even in a party city like Vegas.

Flawlace Salon
www.flawlace.com
4418 West Charleston Blvd.
702.243.5223
This salon looks more Vegas-y than most, with bright fuchsia walls, black flocked wallpaper and black and chrome chairs - it's basically a bordello for hair, but that's what I love about it. It's a palace of pinkness, with a black and glass spiral staircase, black varnished wooden floors, and candy pink treatment chairs. You can admire yourself in the numerous mirrors positioned everywhere, while you sit back and let them work their magic. The stylists are friendly and fun, and the prices very reasonable - women's cuts from just $45. If you're on a budget, but don't want to skimp on quality, come here, especially if you want to 'do' Vegas properly. This salon has a naughty, sexy appeal, that will make you feel mischievous as soon as you walk through the door.

1 South Main St.
Plaza Hotel & Casino
702.386.2590
What makes this place so sexy is that all the hair stylists wear lingerie! It'll be hard not to stare at their sexy curves. The salon is located inside the Plaza Hotel & Casino, and it's a favorite with Vegas's socialites and celebs. The black and green color scheme works well in the limited space, and the whole place feels professional and hip. Consultations are comprehensive, and your cut and blowdry includes a complimentary scalp massage and conditioning. They have different stylists for different hair lengths, so you'll be getting an expert, whatever style you're after.

Mandarin Oriental Beauty Salon
www.mandarinoriental.com
3752 South Las Vegas Blvd.
Mandarin Oriental
702.590.8888
A very relaxed salon with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel & Casino. They do everything from trims, to blowouts, to full make up, color and highlights. The laid back vibe is helped by an easy-on-the-eye color scheme of purple chairs, slate gray floors and Japanese-style sliding doors, and I personally love the Hollywood-style bulb lighting around each of the mirrors. All appointments include a lengthy consultation, and all the stylists seem bang up to date on all the latest trends. You can combine a cut with a treatment, or makeover, and there's a great spa attached, too, so you could really spend all day here making yourself feel sexy, before unleashing yourself on the town.

Kim Vo Salon
www.kimvo.com
3400 South Las Vegas Blvd.
Mirage
702.791.7474
This salon in the Mirage hotel, is one of the signature salons of TV and celeb stylist, Kim Vo. The salon is full of typical Vegas kitsch - big, brown banquettes, chrome lighting, lots of mirrors and whiteness, but the vibe is very sexy and fashionable. Kim is often here, when he's not in Beverly Hill, but you might struggle to book the master himself. Nevertheless, all of this stylists are rigorous in their work, and they work astonishingly fast, so even if you're on a tight schedule, these guys are real professionals. Men have their own barber shop upstairs, which is always packed out, so expect the salon to be popular, too. The colors, in particular, are great here, and you can also get chemical treatments, manicures, and makeovers.
