Vidal Sassoon Salon

www.sassoon.com

399 Boylston St.
617.536.5496

As you'd expect from such a legendary name in hair care, this salon is super stylish and very high end - lots of chrome, mirror and whiteness, which gives the whole place a clean, fresh look. There are nine levels of Sassoon stylist, so there'll be something for all budgets. If you want the top man, though (not Vidal himself, unfortunately), you're looking at somewhere around the $120 mark. They're especially great on colors here, but even if you're just here for a cut, it's worth adding on the $30 'Sassoon Ritual', a luxury treatment carried out during your cut. It's an inexpensive way of giving your hair a real treat, and you'll know you've been 'Sassooned', as you sashay out of the salon all ready for that hot date.

The salon itself is very contemporary, with nice, wide chairs, huge windows and mirrors, and plenty of fresh flowers to add to the mellow ambiance. You can get a whole range of spa services, too, so why not make a day of it, and do the whole body, from top to toe?
